#1 In Pop on This Day in 1979…Do You Remember?
The disco queen in the late seventies was, without a doubt, the late, great, Donna Summer and when she teamed up for a duet with Barbara Streisand, it made for quite a magical sound…..
No More Tears (Enough is Enough) was recorded in several different versions. The full length version (8 1/2 minutes) was released on Streisand’s album, Wet, while an 11+ minute version was released on Summer’s double album, On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volume I and II. The single version (released on both Columbia, Steisand’s label and Casablanca, Summer’s label) was just over 4 1/2 minutes long.
Interestingly, after the hit was released, the two never performed it live together. Below is the single version, which was most often heard on top 40 radio.
