How old does this make you feel? Today is the 30th anniversary of the world wide charity concert Live Aid. Some of the world's biggest musical acts performed to raise funds for famine relief in Africa.

The event was spearheaded by Bob Geldolf of the Boomtown Rats, after the success of the huge charity songs, 'Do They Know It's Christmas' and 'We are the World.'

One of the things that made the concert so cool was that it was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia.

I remember stocking up on VHS tapes so I could record the whole concert. I think I gave up after about 9 hours. One of the other things I remember is how Freddy Mercury and Queen stole the show!
