4 Dead in Oakland Shooting-Names Released

4 people are dead after a shooting in Oakland Wednesday night. It happened in a home at the intersection of Belgrade Rd. and Church St. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene shortly after 8 pm. State Police say one man shot three others and then himself. He shot himself outside the home.

According to police, 3 people inside the home – identified by Maine State Police as –  Michael Muzerolle, Amanda Bragg and Amy Derosby – were shot by one man, Hermon Derico, who then killed himself, his body was found outside the home.

A 4-year-old girl was also in the home at the time and is okay, according to State Police. Investigators say her parents were two of the victims. The child is now staying with family.State Police believe they all may have been living in the residence together.

The shooter’s motive is unknown, according to investigators. (WABI)
