A 9 year old boy in Southern Maine is asking for Christmas cards for what may be his last Christmas.

According to Newsrepublic, Jacob Thompson has asked for Christmas cards for Christmas.  After hearing his neuroblastoma is incurable and he only has weeks to live, his family decided to celebrate the Holidays early.

After getting piles of cards for Halloween, he told his family he wanted more for Christmas.  His father, Roger Guay, said: "He opened up and saw them and it was like getting a gift.  He was excited to see what people had to say and it just brightened his day."

Earlier today, a convoy of law enforcment vehicles arrived in Portland, bringing Jacob thousands of cards.

If you would like to send Jacob a card, his address is:

Jacob Thompson c/o Maine Medical Centre, 22 Bramhall Street, Portland, ME 04102, USA.

Jacob, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
