Steve retired as principal after 33 years at Clinton Elementary where he had a phenomenal impact on both students and teachers. Now he is the director of the South End Teen Center in Waterville. He is mentor to his staff as well as to many kids who attend there on a daily basis. He is motivated to make a difference with the kids and the neighborhood. He is co facilitator for YETE Youth Empowerment through Employment where he helps teens with the means to find jobs. He recently coordinated the South End Bike Swap where he found grants to provide 44 new bikes to low income kids in the South End. He works with Colby providing tutors and mentors for the teens. He runs the teen center with a no violence,and no disrespectful language for safe after school place for kids to come.
