Just the other day I wrote piece about how back in 1987 the speed limit was raised to 65 mph and sort lightheartedly asked about your speeding tickets and the speed you were clocked a but this person’s speed was insane.

Cheryl Gibson, 24 a Cornish woman was caught going 123 miles per hour on the Maine Turnpike. Not only was she going about twice the speed limit, she had her children in the backseat. Also in the car were three men who were not charged.

She was taken to jail and charged with criminal speed, driving to endanger, and endangering the welfare of her children. Trooper Roger Teachout clocked her speeding in Saco yesterday afternoon heading north and it took the officer 10 miles before he could pull her over because of safety concerns.

Gibson had no response as to why she was going so fast or as to where she was going.
