A Fun Weekend Retail Find in Auburn Maine
I'm not sure when this all started, but I found a really cool nook of retailing in Lewiston-Auburn. It's an indoor flea market with dozens and dozens of booths, friendly people and way cool merchandise.
My wife and I were in looking around yesterday and found everything from cassettes to antiques to art to collectibles, including coins, old license plates and signs. It's more than a flea market really, it's like an expo of all things used, redone, re-purposed and "picked." It truly is Americana at play. Parking is a bit limited, but it's free to walk in. They sell drinks too for while you browse. It truly was a great find.
The indoor flea market is open, Friday, Saturday and Sundays and located on Minot Ave. across from the old train station; previously it was an old salvage and surplus store. It will be closed on Easter Sunday ( location pictured below)
