Oh well this explains a lot for me! Not only does a lack of sleep just not make you feel good, it also increases the risk of serious health problems including obesity and type II diabetes. Apparently our sleepy fat cells are too tired to respond to our insulin.
Really, sleep is important to help you think and a good night’s sleep makes you look and feel better. But talk about cost effective “treatments” for obesity and diabetes, just sleep more. Of course more research needed to be done to make that claim outright. But you can see how I might make the quick jump to that. A little exercise, a decent diet and some sleep for a healthier life, everyday those are my goals. I might not make it every day, but they are my goals.
