A proposed law governing the measurement of a pint of beer at 16 oz has more or less has fallen flat due to logistics. The law would be nearly impossible to enforce says the state liquor inspector.

The proposed bill LD 122 from Rumford Sen. John Patrick (D) of Oxford was put forth to ensure truth in advertising after complaints that patrons at bars felt like they were getting less than 16 oz in a pint.

The Liquor Inspector (Gregory Mineo, Director of Maine Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations) isn't the only one not for the bill, neither is the hospitality industry.

Here is the bill and here is more on the story from the Sun Journal.
