A tractor trailer truck has overturned in the northbound lane of the interstate in Augusta and the northbound lanes will be reduced to only one lane, likely for the rest of the afternoon.According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, the crash took place near the Bond Brook bridge, at mile 111, which was the site of another tractor trailer wreck a week ago.  Northbound motorists seeking to avoid the area should take the Western Ave. exit in Augusta and use Leighton Road.  Today’s crash involved a trash truck from Trioiano Waste Services  and the crash took place just south of the bridge.  Northbound traffic on the interstate is now backed up, as only one lane is open.
