In celebration of the release of Alicia Keys new album 'Girl on Fire,' a light show was held at the Empire State Building in New York. The Grammy-winning songbird flipped the switch to launch the LED tower light display, which was also synchronized to her anthemic tunes 'Girl on Fire' and 'Empire State of Mind.'

Keys screamed as she watched the colorful lights switched back and forth in sync with the crashing beat of 'Girl on Fire.' Later, the 'New Day' singer boisterously cheered when her New York anthem 'Empire State of Mind' came on. In one moment, the lights flickered succinctly with the song's piano riffs on the song.

"The Empire State Building has always been a symbol of what's possible in New York, and all the dreams that can come true in this city that never sleeps," said Keys in a statement. "As a proud New Yorker, I'm so honored and humbled to be a little part of its history."

The Empire State Building marked the first synchronized light show to take place on the famed New York City landmark.

After the light show, Keys tweeted to her fans:
