In the past few weeks there have been a few data breaches, actually three if you count the iCloud naked selfie hack but the two I’m referring to are Shaw’s and Otto's Pizza in the Portland area. Now maybe four with the news of Home Depot.

Does this change how you pay for your purchases? Will you be going back to cash or paper checks?

This is the second time in a couple of years that I have had to get a new debit card due a data breach. I have to go to my credit union in the coming days to swap cards, again. It happened a few years ago with a jewelry store chain as well.

It’s not a huge deal to get a new card but it is a big deal to update all of my billing accounts, for example, CMP, Direct TV and Fairpoint.

These data breaches seem to be getting out of hand. Almost every week there is news of another. How has it affected your life?
