‘Arrow’ Season 2 ‘Flash’ Spoilers: Barry Allen’s “The Scientist” Appearance Revealed
‘Arrow‘ season 2 still managed to hit the mark with last night’s “Keep Your Enemies Closer,” an episode that abdicated the main plot for a Diggle-centric turn in Russia, but will the CW superhero drama have the same true aim when Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) makes a speedy entrance into town in “The Scientist”? Find out what brings the Flash to Starling City with a few new spoilers!
The CW has released the first full episode synopsis of “The Scientist,” which sees Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) reluctantly partnering with Central City police scientist Barry Allen when a new Starling case reminds him of something from his time on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity may get over her fixation on Oliver in an unexpected way, one sure to delight shippers the world over.
Says The CW of December 4 episode “The Scientist”:
A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island.
Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured.
Keep in mind, Gustin’s Allen will appear in two episodes for the time being, returning in time for the 20th installment of season 2, wherein the plot quickly speeds up (particle accelerators, anybody?), while The CW decides whether or not to move forward with a ‘Flash’ spinoff.
