Auburn students soon can have medical marijuana administered to them in school. Last night (Jan. 7) the school committee voted unanimously in favor of a new policy, that would apply to students who have written certification, to use medical marijuana from a medical provider.

There are limitations to the new ploicy, including that the medical marijuana be in a non-smokable form. Also, only the primary caregiver (a parent or guardian) will be allowed to administer the marijuana.

Superintendent Katy Grondin told WCSH that she doesn't know of any students this policy applies to right now.
