Auburn Police Are Looking For an Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect

Early this morning there was an attempted armed robbery at Rainbow Federal Credit Union at 20 Washington St. in Auburn.

According to this report, the suspect used a knife as an employee was outside the building at 6:30 am. He forced the employee into the credit union and tried to get the employee to open the vault. The employee got away and flagged someone down for help.

The suspect was unsuccessful and he fled on foot.

Auburn Police are looking for a white male 5’ 7” in his 20s. At the time, he was wearing a ski mask and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.
