Augusta Man Charged With Recent Rail Trail Puppy Kicking

Michael Hein, 45, has been charged with (allegedly) kicking a puppy on the rail trail last month.

However, he is not expected to make his first court appearance until March 22nd of next year. He is charged with kicking, Brewer, a 4 month old Golden Retriever pup. This is a class-D offense which carries with it a possible $2,000 fine and potential 364 day jail sentence. And from what we understand....this is not Hein's first run-in with the legal system.
