An Augusta man is facing charges following an early Wednesday morning car chase, where speeds reached in excess of 100 miles per hour, which ended with a crash in Manchester.

According to WABI TV, 27 year old Blyn Eric Nadeau Jr. was ordered held on $5,000 bail and charged with criminal speeding, driving to endanger, and other offenses..

According to an affidavit, police broke off the chase (which began shortly after midnight) when speeds reached 100 miles per hour.  A Kennebec County Sheriff’s deputy  found the vehicle in a ditch.  The driver was not with the vehicle. Authorities found Nadeau after a homeowner called police and told them someone was beating on his door.
