According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, Aubrey Armstrong, 26, was taken into custody inside a home in Queens last week and he appeared in a New York courtroom on a fugitive from justice charge Monday.  Armstrong is the fourth person charged in the death of Joseph Marceau, 31, who was killed inside an apartment on Washington Street November 23, in a drug related homicide, McCausland said.

Three others were charged with murder in the case. Already charged in the death were Damik Davis from New York, and an Augusta couple – Zina Fritze and Sean McQuade.   Fritze committed suicide in her jail cell on Jan. 27, two days after being charged with homicide.

Davis and McQuade are pending upcoming judicial proceedings.  Armstrong’s return to Maine to face his murder charge is pending his court appearances in New York, McCausland said.
