Valentine's Day is all but through. What did we do? It started bright and early this morning with the kids. We bought each of them a little something. Vikki's gift was a form or shape sorter, Dylan got a fedora that he wanted and Justin wanted and received a pair of Levis 510 super skinny jeans. And for Lynn, I bought her a two rose bouquet, card and Symphony bar her favorite type of candy bar.

Today or late tonight I should say, marks 18 years living in Maine. As I wrote a couple of weeks ago regarding the interview trip, here is the story about the move. Crazy to think I left everything I knew for something in a city and country I have really never lived in. The idea of moving to Maine back in 1995 I thought was going to be temporary, but now 18 years later, not so much. Just wanted to come down for the experience and go back to my life and everything I knew and had back in Halifax with a job.

It's the middle of winter and the middle of the biggest storm in a number of years, so what are we doing? We're booking a small getaway. Our two vacations this year, the one we planned for this summer to Halifax, Nova Scotia and Edmundston, New Brunswick. Trips to see family are fun for the kids to a degree but we wanted to do something just for them.
