Jon Receives His Very Own Copy of ‘Walter the Farting Dog,’ from the Class He Read it To

When Steve Parker came into our studios this morning holding a familiar book, I wondered if I had another scheduled reading of "Walter the Farting Dog," that I'd forgotten about. But, no! He was bringing me my very own copy of the children's favorite! Hard to believe it has been a month since I read that story at Cony High School. Steve's wife, Micheal, had asked me to come read the book to her summer school class.

My next video venture may be a video of me reading it to my grandson, Evan. He has a great sense of humor and a great laugh. I'm hoping to get something that'll go viral. I may even include my friend Shawna Lynne Grady singing in it. That will SURELY cause a spike in views!

‘Chrome Dome’ Would Sound Better but a Copper One Looks Better When it Comes to the State House

I've lived in the capital area my entire life and I've never seen the dome on the Capitol building anything but baby-puke green! This is the color it is suppose to be...the color God intended copper to be. It's just that the elements wreak havoc on the metal and, after a while, it gets snot green again (sorry about the verbiage, but you have to admit, while not very pleasant, it IS descriptive).

Jon (PeePee, to Evan) Accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge from Little Evan Brady James [Video]

I might have tried to weasel my way out of the challenge had someone else put me up to it, but Evan has my heart. I couldn't let him down. Plus, it's a good lesson for him to learn, giving to others, even if it means doing something silly and something you really don't want to do.

U.S. Marine, Mario Alejandro, Wears ‘Offensive’ Shirt to Six Flags, Denied Admittance…Now, Show Your Support by Getting Your Own Shirt; We Have the Link! [Video]

Mario Alejandro is a U.S. Marine, a war vet and hero. Why, then, was he told he couldn't enter a Six Flags Amusement Park in New Jersey? Well, his shirt (which pictured a machine gun) was considered "offensive." Really? On the back was the organization that sales of the shirt support, the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation, a non-profit organization (reconfoundation.org).

While you WON'T find shirts at that website (which is worthing checking out, by the way), you will find them by clicking here.
