‘Pacific Rim 2′ Already in the Works? Writer Hired for Sequel
Guillermo del Toro's giant robot epic 'Pacific Rim' has been dolling out the promotional material like candy. Blueprints and viral videos (one of which actually reveals a glimpse of those giant monster Kaiju), and a new site to house all of the material recently launched to start prepping fans for the film's July 12, 2013 release.
While we have a ways to go before actually seeing the film, it seems that Legendary Pictures are pretty confident it'll perform well. In fact, they're already preparing for a 'Pacific Rim 2.' But who's on board for the sequel, and will Guillermo del Toro be back to direct?

'Star Trek: Into Darkness' doesn't hit theaters until May of next year, but fans are more than looking forward to seeing the much talked about first footage, said to premiere along with screenings of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' come December 14. ‘Pacific Rim’ Footage: Kaiju Attack in New Viral Video
In preparation for the first 'Pacific Rim' trailer, hitting sometime in the (hopefully) near future, Warner Bros. has recently kicked off its viral marketing campaign. Other than a Kaiju monster attack emergency broadcast video and a robot blueprint circling the web, though, not much has been revealed in terms of footage from the upcoming film. But that's changing with the next 'Pacific Rim' video, which teases an actual monster attack. So, what do you say? Want to meet one of the Kaiju?
