Sales of existing single-family homes in Maine were up 23.6 % in November. Maine’s numbers were over the national! Home buyers were taking advantage of low interest rates and a large inventory of homes on the market.
December 20, 2012 Hospitals are lobbying state lawmakers to begin paying off Maine's Medicaid debt. The state owes hospitals $186 million dating back to 2009. That needs to be paid. That debt is a road block to $298 million in federal matching funds that hospital officials say they need desperately.

The type of thing you would buy as the center piece of your holiday meal. Simply by stopping by the grocery store, picking up something fitting and dropping it off to them you can really help out.
December 19, 2012 Maine has some of the strongest laws against animal abuse in the country. The Animal Legal Defense Fund said Maine has felony charges for animal cruelty, neglect and abandonment. But there is always room for improvements.

December 18, 2012 If you have travel plans this is great news. Gas prices are still going down. By cents and not dollars, but they are still getting a little lower. However, Maine gas prices are still above the national average.
December 18, 2012 I live so much of my life online. If a business does not have some sort of online offering I often don’t give them a second thought. Even if it is enough to get their phone number and address, I will still look for that information online. Waterville is making it easier for us to get this information about area business with mico-websites. Oh, and they are free.
