I am the News Director for the Townsquare Media/Augusta-Waterville stations and also the host of our public affairs show, "Issues," Sunday mornings! Make sure you come say "Hi" to me at one of our many live local broadcasts.
I love this! Turns out farming is hip in New England. Across the region. Young adults are choosing crops over cubicles, new farms are popping up and the local food movement is spreading. The region’s small size makes it easy for farmers and consumers to connect at farm markets and stands.
I live in Augusta. Augusta, Maine. I have owned a home since 2008. So it was no big surprise when my tax bill arrived last week. But as I opened to take a peek before it when to the bank to be paid by the escrow account, I noticed something that was a hoot
‘Fat Guys In The Woods’. What a great name for a show! Turns out it is from The Weather Channel. I like nature/survivalist shows. This one is great. Each week, ‘Fat Guys in the Woods’ has three average guys learn to build shelter, fire, scavenge and hunt all in the name of survival. They do that with the help of The Weather Channel's resident Survival Expert Creek Stewart. Creek! Best name ever!
A few years ago I seemed to be getting a new debit card every few months because of this stuff. Well, here we go again. I return from vacation to hear Shaw's, where I do almost all of my grocery shopping, has had an issue. But there is some updated information from Shaw's on the matter.
I was SO excited to go to the Boston Comic Con 2014 this year. It was happening on my birthday and on my vacation so it seemed like a great way to enjoy both. I had been to Port-Con a couple of years ago with my friend, Amanda. She is very much into the comic book scene and I had never been. Port-Con was so much fun. I figured doing it bigger and better was would be even more fun!
I started my vacation by going to see Rocky for Equality 'The Rocky Horror Show Live' in Augusta. They have two more shows this coming weekend (Aug 15 & 16). If you don't take the time and go...well...you are missing out on the best time goin' in Augusta.

Check out this new Moose Track 'It's All About That Bass'! I was SO happy to hear it on 92 Moose. I think it's a cute video and you will find yourself singing to yourself ALL day! Megan Trainor is super adorable and I love her voice. "Because you know I'm all about that bass, 'Bout that bass 'bout that bass, no treble!"
