An autopsy has confirmed that 51-year-old actor James Gandolfini, who passed away on Wednesday (June 19), died of natural causes. Specifically, a heart attack he suffered while in Italy for an appearance at Sicily's Taormina Film Festival.

After finding his dad "collapsed" in his hotel room, Gandolfini's 13-year-old son quickly alerted hotel staff, who called emergency services. According to Us Weekly, Gandolfini was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

But although paramedics and doctors spent 40 minutes trying to save him, it was sadly to no avail. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

When the news broke, New Jersey residents flocked to Holsten's, the diner where the final scene in 'The Sopranos' was shot, to pay tribute to the beloved actor. Meanwhile, around here, we've honored him with GIFs -- and now a funny quote from him.

During an appearance on 'Inside the Actor's Studio,' host James Lipton asked the question, "If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?"

"Take over for a while," Gandolfini quipped. "I'll be right back."
