New Bacon World Eating Record Set

We had our monthly luncheon today at the station, provided by Lisa's Restaurant & Catering. This month it was 'breakfast for lunch!' Perfect, because that meant bacon and... lots of it! Lisa make the best bacon in town. Always crispy and and tasty.

If you listen to the Moose Morning Show, you know, that just about the only thing all 3 of us agree on, is our love for bacon!

I'm not quite sure if we love it as much as competitive eater Matt "Megatoad" Stonie, who has set a new bacon eating record by devouring 182 slices of bacon (approximately 6 lbs) in five minutes. The event was held at the Daytona 500 in Florida on (Feb. 22) Sunday.

According to CompetitveEaters.com, the previous unofficial record was set by Mark "The Human Vacuum" Lyle, who ate just 54 pieces in five minutes.

I think I smell a new challenge for the Moose Morning Show. Should we try it?
