It's not very often there is 'free time' in my schedule on the weekends, but we were able to squeeze some in the past Sunday. After a fairly long morning down in Southern Maine I came home and picked up the bride and headed to Waterville. With so many things to see and do in Central Maine, it can be challenging to decide exactly what you want to do. However, we already had an agenda. We needed to get to the Waterville Opera House before 2p so we could make it for the final performance of 'Things My Mother Taught Me'. God and green light willing, we made it! Not only were we with time to spare to enjoy a glass of Pinot Grigio but we also got seats in the SECOND row- How cool is that? (Oh yeah- they have a quaint little bar now, too!)

What a great show it was! The cast, the staff and the overall atmosphere were just great. I feel like (even at 30) I was one of the youngest people there, though. I just don't get it? Trust me young people when I tell you that you are missing out on great LOCAL theater every time you miss a show. Do yourself (and your community) a favor and get out to see a show at the newly renovated Waterville Opera House. I promise you won't regret it.
