Belgrade Kayak Relay Race is Saturday

Who doesn't love a good kayaking adventure in Maine? How about this- a fun-filled day of kayak relay racing on Great Pond in Belgrade!

7K Endurance or 5K Scaled relay race will start and finish at the Belgrade Lakes Community Center for All Seasons on Great Pond. The competition consists of racers paddling round trip from Great Pond to Long Pond. Team format will support two relay racers - one racer paddling the waters at a time. After the first leg that racer will move to the starting area to rest, socialize, or participate in local events. The second racer will be ready at the exchange area located at the Town Beach on Long Pond and will complete the second leg by reversing the direction to finish the race.
