Benedict Cumberbatch appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Monday night (November 7), where the Doctor Strange star made a valiant plea for Americans to vote via... bedtime story.

In the sketch, an infantile Corden is curled up in bed when Cumberbatch sits down to read his "son" a bedtime story—no, not Peter Rabbit, and not Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but the Story of the 2016 Presidential Election.

The suave Oscar nominee then reads aloud from the gripping illustrated tale of Hillary Clinton, the lady who wanted to rule the kingdom of America "very much... very very much... some would say too much."

In the story, Clinton ventures into a scary forest full of e-mails, (cyber) trolls and a bad news-delivering "fox," from which she emerges from the other end unscathed. Along her way she also defeats a wizard, an "old, old man with hair of white" (Bernie Sanders) who pledges to "take from the rich and give to the poor... no matter how impossible his plans were."

Finally, she encounters the "most terrifying creature of all": The "big orange monster" Donald Trump who has a "very, very big head" and "tiny, tiny baby hands."

"I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll put a ban on all Muslims," Cumberbatch growls as Trump, before breaking the fourth wall and concluding that while the story currently ends on a cliffhanger, it's up to America to decide how it will end.

Watch up top.
