A tale of two teams on exhibition Saturday. The UMaine women's team scores a win vs McGill University. The UMaine men's team falls to USM.

At Memorial Gym in Orono, coach Richard Barron and his women's team defeated the Canadian school, McGill 81-41. Senior Courtney Anderson led with 19 points. Liz Wood scored 15.

The Bears play one more exhibition game vs the University of New Brunswick on November 10th. Their season opener is on the 14th at Bryant University.

At Case Gymnasium in Gorham, coach Bob Walsh and his men's lost to the USM Huskies 78-73. The Huskies had four players in double-digit scoring.

For the Black Bears, Till Gloger led with 23 points and 19 rebounds.

The Bears play another exhibition game on Thursday night vs Husson University. UMaine opens its season at Butler on the 15th.
