Our hearts are heavy to report that singer Natina Reed, formerly of R&B trio Blaque, was struck by a vehicle and killed on Friday night (Oct. 26).

Reed, 32, was walking across a major roadway in Lilburn, Ga., CNN reports, when she was hit by a vehicle at approximately 10:30 PM ET. The driver, who hasn't been charged in the incident, called 911 while the passenger attempted CPR on the singer, unfortunately to no avail: Reed was pronounced dead at the Gwinnett Medical Center shortly thereafter.

Reed rose to fame when she was discovered by TLC's Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes as a member of Blaque, going on to score hit singles with 'Bring It All to Me' and 'I Do' in 1999 before starring in cheerleading flick 'Bring It On.' Lopes herself died tragically in a car accident in Honduras in 2002. Reed is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren, with former boyfriend, rapper Kurupt.

Our thoughts are with Reed's family, friends and fans in this achingly difficult time. May she rest in peace.
