Boston Company Joins Recruiting Pitch For Kevin Durant
Isaiah Thomas and Terrance Knighton have already said that they will put the full court press to recruit Kevin Durant to join the Celtics this off-season, and now a local seafood chain is also getting into the mix.
announced on Wednesday that they will offer the former NBA Most Valuable Player unlimited crab legs if he inks a contract with the Celtics this summer. According to an
interview with the Washington Post in 2013, crab legs are a favorite food of Durant.
“We knew it was time to take an active role in the Celtics’ pursuit of ‘Banner 18’…we’re trying to bait [Kevin] Durant to Boston with the promise of free crab legs. We think it’s time KD makes Boston his next home”, said Legal Sea Food in a release on Wednesday.
Durant is a free agent this summer and may be looking for a new team after a loss to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Final last week. The Celtics are reportedly interested in the all-star, and have the third overall pick in the NBA Draft on June 23rd.
