The Bangor Senior League all-star team became the first host team to finish pool play with a 4-0 record after beating Hawaii 3-1.Not only did Bangor make history with the win, it also earned them a a semifinal spot as the number one seed from pool A. They also become just the second host team to make the semifinal round, joining the Bangor all-stars from 2010. With the game tied at a run apiece in the top of the 5th inning, Ryan Brookings hit a 2-run single with two outs to give Bangor the lead. Trevor Delaite had 4 hits in the game while Kyle Stevenson added 3.

After Nick Cowperthwaite pitched the first two innings, Brian Pierce came on to shutout Hawaii over the final four.

Bangor will play Friday at 11:30am in the first semifinal against Texas for the right to be in the World Championship game.
