Brunswick to Celebrate Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The most charming town of Brunswick will celebrate Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in February. The community will have a number of events in honor of the poet. This year is the 206th anniversary of his birth. The annual Longfellow Days celebration will happen all through the month of February.

But you say, “Renee, Longfellow was born in Portland and isn’t that where the home he was born is now a museum.” You are right! That is true, but he attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick before he was one of America’s best-known poets. So, Brunswick is celebrating!  During the month, there will be public poetry readings, lectures, discussions and a film screening.
