December 8, 2012 I went to see the Starlight Performers at Hallowell City Hall last night. They are female illusionists and they did one heck of a Christmas performance. Tonight is the last of this show. It starts at 7:30pm and I think you can get tickets at the door. It was SO much fun. And they were doing it all in support of the Family Violence Project.
December 4, 2012 I just got back from doing a live broadcast at Red Robin at the Marketplace at Augusta. First I want to thank the staff for setting me up with fries and soda while I was there. You guys are totally awesome. We were there for the Augusta Salvation Army Angel Tree campaign.

Trot Nixon, former Boston Red Sox right fielder, will be the featured guest at the Portland Sea Dogs 2013 Hot Stove Dinner and silent auction. The event is Jan. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sable Oaks Marriott in South Portland and benefits the Maine Children's Cancer Program. All who attend will receive an autographed 8x10 photo of Trot Nixon.
November 6, 2012 Why do we call voting a “civic duty?” I like voting, or maybe obsess or love it. I think it’s an exciting event. After all of the drama of the primaries, advertising, debates, mailers, robo-calls, etc. it’s go time!
November 6, 2012 The Salvation Army kicked off its annual Red Kettle Campaign that raises money for the needy during the holiday season. A Salvation Army brass ensemble played holiday carols at Monday’s kick-off celebration at the State House.
November 5, 2012 This is such an important week for those in need. All this week, until Friday mid-morning, there is a giant food drive going on in central Maine from our Townsquare Media sister station. There will be a tent set up next to the tank on the hill at Camp Keyes in Augusta. And if you are out doing some grocery shopping and you see the Maine Army National Guard at your local store with a truck, they are there accepting donations of non-perishable food items and cash.
