I was out getting a few things done the other day and as I was walking through one of my favorite places to shop when I noticed an isle with Christmas decorations already out. Not little trinkets either, but honkin snowmen and Christmas lights.

Jason Cote, a local carpenter in central Maine, for the past few months has been brightening up the area with his amazing snow art.

Winter Storm Stella is probably going to dump somewhere between 12 and 18 inches on Central Maine over the next couple days.  you know the stores are going to be mobbed later on today.  So, what are people buying?  Milk?  Bread?  Allen's Coffee Brandy?

Everyone knows the Turducken is the ultimate football watching food.  So, as a wannabe chef, and a Patriots fan, it has always been my dream to make a Turducken!  With the Patriots hosting the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game this Sunday, it seems like the perfect time to give it a try.

Well why not?  Who needs all that happy-go-lucky stuff...I decided to get myself a concussion for Christmas.  All joking aside, when there is ice just be careful. And be thankful for co-workers who are awesome.  AND yes, IF I had been wearing my helmet I would not be in this situation.

The Salvation Army Capital Region Corps is hoping for a surge in donations as they are $16,000 behind in their goal compared to last year.
