TV Finales, What's Your Favorite?

Where it’s the height of TV season and series finales right now, I’m wondering what your favorite TV shows and or series finales are. The most memorable series finales for me are Seinfeld, Cheers and E.R. I remember the Friends series finale as well. Oddly, they’re all NBC shows. The M*A*S*H finale was epic. I didn't see it on TV but rented it on VHS.

After tonight, will I be spending the rest of the NHL playoffs cheering on the Red Sox? Or will the Bruins move on to the next round? Not to jinx them, but I think the Bruins will beat Toronto tonight. The game is at TD Garden and I think the Bruins remember the implosion the Flyers took advantage of a few years back in the 2009 playoffs.

American Idol is winding down for 2013. Season 13 in the ratings has been slightly lower than previous years but still good for TV ratings. If it’s back for season 14, Randy Jackson won’t be part of it. If I were a betting man, I’d say Mariah Carey will be out too. Why? Because of the stunt or leaked info about wanting Jennifer Lopez back over Mariah earlier this season.

Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day. A day we give thanks to teachers and honor them. My mom was a teacher. A French teacher in a junior high and in her later years, she was a substitute teacher. It takes a special skill to do a job that I’m sure frazzles you more days than not. For many years, my wife was a Head Start teacher for Androscoggin Head Start. Kudos to her and her sister, Jessica in Florida. She too is a teacher.

That is my old dog, Coffee, he passed way from complications of Lyme disease. I love walking in the woods. In the Augusta area we have some AMAZING places to walk. But I have become overcome by fear. I am scared of ticks and Lyme disease.

Wow. Spring is here. Tourist season is only a few short weeks away. Some of the summer businesses are beginning to wake up from hibernation. Next weekend, Mother’s Day weekend, the Funtown rides turn again. Yes, Funtown opens on May 11, 2013. Splashtown however won’t open until mid June.
