On Dec. 24, easily a slow news day because of the holiday, it was reported that Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes of the Wanted (aka "Nariana," the cutest couple in the pop universe), had officially split. The story was built on the previous rumor, based on a 'Who's on First' type interview where she was talking about her pre-Nathan ex, Jai Brooks, with whom she split acrimoniously.

Thank You To The Line Crews + Support Staff Working To Get Power Back On

As I was walking ShadowDog Christmas Eve around 6pm, I heard voices and look over to a near-by parking lot, it was five of the bucket trucks working the Augusta area regrouping and talking to dispatch. Late tonight, a friend of mine who works for CMP as ‘essential personal’ will be coming to my house to catch a few hours of sleep after working part of Christmas Day.

Ticks + Tick Borne Illness Impact Mainers All Year And Can Be Deadly

I have a friend and her mom has been sick for a few weeks.  She was fine one day and within a few days she was in the ICU, she received the best of medical care and she passed away last week. It took less than two months. What caused all of this? A tick-borne disease called Powassan virus. This was Maine’s first documented case in about a decade.

Please Don’t Drink & Drive This Holiday Season

Beware, police are beefing up patrols for drunk drivers this holiday season. The story I'm referencing is out of Westbrook but still I'm sure statewide cops will out looking and waiting for people operating under the influence (OUI). Westbrook has added $10,000 to make the roads safer. There are only a few things I'm passionate about and one is curbing drunk driving.

The 2014 Winter Olympics Are Coming

There are pro sports and there are college sports. Both worthy of attention for different reasons. On top of the two just mentioned, in about six weeks will be the winter Olympics being held in Sochi, Russia. It doesn't seem like the Vancouver games were four years ago, isn't it crazy how time flies? You have the less captivating sports and the more thrilling and some really death defying events. I for one am an avid Olympic viewer whether it's the summer or the winter games.

Josie the Outlaw: Jurors, Disobeying a Judges Orders May Be the Right Thing to Do [Video]

I've watched quite a few videos featuring this woman and, I've gotta tell you, she is very convincing when she speaks and has done the research to back up what she says. While I don't personally agree that not voting is a good idea, I would have a real hard time disagreeing with anything else. What do you think? Give Josie the Outlaw a few minutes of your time and you'll probably want to see more of her. Unlike many videos out there, this one is definitely NOT a waste of time!
