Who here is old enough to remember the "Storm of the Century" back in March 1993? It oddly happened exactly 21 years ago as this storm rolling through now. A 'Throwback Thursday' and an "on this day" post all in one.
I dislike snow as much as the next guy and hope this storm that’s upon is a dud but why do some think the world is going to end? Are we all being dramatic because that’s what’s now expected in the world of social media?
It was just a few weeks ago we were talking about all the troubles in Atlanta, GA over some snow and ice. I hope that they are ready this time. They don’t really have the equipment to deal with that sort of weather, so I guess you just stay out of it until it warms a little and the ice and snow are gone.
Tomorrow a storm is coming, and it looks like we’re getting hammered again in the latter part of the upcoming weekend. A storm is is in the forecast for Sunday night into Monday morning. What do you do to prepare for storms? Do you go out and get extra milk and bread? Maybe you buy gallons of water? How about beer for a storm party?
Whether it's felling a tree against the side of the house, getting pushed into the pool with my cell phone in my pocket or backing my Jeep full speed down the hill by the driveway, Sundays seem to hold a bit of misfortune for me.
