‘Cecil The Lion’ Beanie Baby to be Sold for Wildlife Charity

A 'Cecil the Lion Beanie Baby' will be sold in memory of the beloved lion. Last month the killing of Cecil by a Minnesota dentist in Zimbabwe, made headlines around the world.

The hunting of Cecil put a spotlight on illegal hunting practices and now Ty Inc. has pledged that 100% of profits from the sale of the new stuffed toy will go to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit of the University of Oxford in England.

Ty Warner, founder and chairman of Ty Inc. says, “Hopefully, this special Beanie Baby will raise awareness for animal conservation and give comfort to all saddened by the loss of Cecil.”
