Celebrate The Kennebec Next Week With Skowhegan’s Riverfest

Celebrate recreational life on the Kennebec River with Skowhegan's River Fest!

It gets kicked off Tuesday (August 2nd) and runs through next Saturday.  Additionally, it is meant to highlight the Kennebec River Gorge as the future home of the Run of River Whitewater Recreation Area.

Some of the events include rafting, a duck derby, glow stick river run, classic car show, beer garden, the Rotary Club lobster (lobstah?) bake, and a lot more!  It kicks off with a chicken BBQ on Tuesday and ends Saturday with a fireworks display
