Boston Celtics to Play in the Preseason in Portland

The Boston Celtics will play in Portland and the refurbished Cross Arena for a NBA exhibition game October 15. Portland is the home of the Celtics NBA Development League team, the Maine Red Claws.

Boston is coming off a 25-57 season in which it failed to make the playoffs for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

Dajuan Eubanks, president of the Red Claws said in a statement, “As an organization, we could not be happier for the fans of the Celtics and the Red Claws across the state of Maine.”
