The search has been suspended in Canton after the fourth day produced no results in the Kimberly Moreau case. They were looking for remains of the 17-year-old Jay girl who disappeared in 1986. Maine State Police and the Oxford County Sheriff's Office were searching the property, purchased by Brian Enman in 2000. (centralmaine.com)

Police are looking into a threat made on centralmaine.com calling for the Skowhegan Indian to be set on fire. The 62 foot statue stands in the newly dedicated Langlais Park which was officially announced this weekend in a ribbon cutting ceremony. Last Thursday there was a rally about the efforts to try to change the Skowhegan High School mascot from 'the Indians.' The threat was removed from the site. (WCSH)

The manhunt for a Parkman murder suspect is now one of longest in Maine history. Robert Burton is wanted for murder in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend in early June. The search entered its 66th day Sunday. Only one manhunt in modern times lasted as long. (BDN)

Ex-Chelsea selectwoman, Carole Swan’s court appeal is set for September in Boston. She is currently serving 87 months in federal prison and maintains a judge erred in refusing to suppress her statements to detectives. She was convicted of taking kickbacks and defrauding the federal government. (centralmaine.com)

A one car crash in Washington County this weekend claimed the life of a Massachusetts man. 21 year old Robert Thibeault was driving south on Route One in Topsfield when he lost control and smashed into a tree off the side of the road. Two others were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Police believe speed and distracted driving played a role in the crash. (WABI)

An inmate died at the Maine State Prison early Saturday morning. Peter Dubord, 55, of Augusta had been convicted of drunken driving nine times. The Department of Corrections said the Maine State Police and medical examiner’s office are both reviewing Dubord’s death. (centralmaine.com)

It looks like it was a cigarette that started a fire that damaged an Augusta apartment building Saturday morning. There were no injuries and only minor damage was reported at the three-unit apartment building at 2 Swan St. (centralmaine.com)

The redevelopment authority at the former Brunswick Naval Air Station has been awarded $2.65 million to continue the conversion to a private airport. Maine Congresswoman Chellie Pingree says $800,000 will be used to rehabilitate runway lighting and $1 million will be used to improve a hangar that's currently home to an aircraft refurbishment company. $2 million is going to be used to restrict development of nearly 10,000 acres around the military Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape school in western Maine. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King say the funding will support military readiness through conservation efforts around the school that provides pilots and other select military personnel the opportunity to master the skills necessary for survival in harsh environmental conditions as well as enemy captivity. The U.S. Senate has approved a granting the lobster a national day of celebration. The resolution introduced by Maine Senators Susan Collins and Angus King designates September 25th, 2015, as National Lobster Day. (AP)
