China, Maine House Fire – Family of Seven Loses Everything

Imagine coming home to your house engulfed in flames. This happened to a town employee and his family in China, Maine.

John Reed, his wife and five children lost all of their belongings in a fire that broke out in their two-story home late Wednesday morning (June 17) at 88 Weeks Mills Rd. in China.

The fire is out, but smoke still was still smouldering three hours later.

Fire Chief Dick Morse says several family pets are unaccounted for.

The state fire marshal's office is helping with the investigation.
