Chris Brown Gets ‘Swatted’ With Phony Domestic Violence Claim

Perhaps capitalizing on his reunion with Rihanna — which, if you’ll recall, is nobody’s business despite being plastered all over Instagram and Twitter — pranksters called in a scare at Chris Brown‘s Los Angeles mansion.

The frantic phony phone call insinuated that a horrific domestic violence situation was going down, so of course cops swarmed the joint. Because history.

Radar Online reports that law enforcement sped to Brown’s residence late last night (Jan. 21) after a call claimed that a scary domestic dispute had escalated to gunplay.

However, whoever made the call appears to think Brown has kids, because they described the bustup as being between a “mother and father.” This implies that they’re either not up to date on their gossip (and should read us more often, obvs) or they just picked a random address to mess with and wound up landing on a celeb’s.

Brown wasn’t home when the cops arrived, but members of his staff were lurking about.

The prank calls reporting fake scares at the homes of famous people are known as “swatting” — essentially, someone makes the call and it results in a huge outlay of police (often SWAT officers, hence the name). Breezy is only the latest in a slew of celebs who’ve fallen victim to swatting, including Miley Cyrus, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber.

The LA Times reports “a 12-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the reports involving Bieber and Kutcher.” Guess he got tired of little girls and Demi Moore getting all the attention.
