When 'Glee' actor Cory Monteith died of an accidental overdose on July 13, the cast and crew -- which included Monteith's girlfriend, Lea Michele -- were thrown into grief. They were also left to wonder what would happen to Monteith's character Finn.

Well now they have a definitive answer. Rather than ignoring his character's existence or sending him off to a distant locale never to return, Finn Hudson is being written off the musical dramedy for good.

While no concrete decision has been made for how exactly to write Monteith's character Finn out of the series, creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the show's cast would create public service announcements about the dangers of drug addiction.

All proceeds from the third episode of the show (which deals with Monteith's passing) will also be donated to a fund created for the deceased actor.

Now that a memorial get-together has been attended by the cast and crew of 'Glee,' Murphy said he is ready to tackle the third episode with permission from Michele, with filming of the show set to begin on Monday (Aug. 5).

Monteith will also be honored at this year's Emmy awards.
