Damon’s Does a Good Deed….Boston Brewer Benefits

Well if you do get beer from a 75-year-old keg, chances are it’s gonna leave a nasty taste in your mouth.  But old beer aside, an old keg is just what was found at Damon’s Beverage Mart (formerly Lou’s Beverage Barn) in Augusta. 

“Boston Beer Co., Boston Mass.,” was burned into each end of the keg so Jeff Damon, co-owner of Damon’s, decided the keg should go where it would be most appreciated…to the Boston Beer Company, brewer of Sam Adam’s beers.

Jim Koch, founder of the modern Boston Beer Company was on hand to accept the gift when it was presented at Pine State Trading‘s distribution center in Gardiner recently.
