Demi Lovato has been long been outspoken about her past struggles with drug abuse and her eating disorder, but she is revealing even more shocking details in an upcoming interview.

In the sit-down interview with Access Hollywood, Demi reveals that she was so addicted to cocaine, she would sneak it on planes and do the drug while the other passengers were asleep.

"Something I’ve never talked about before, but with my drug use, I could hide it to where I would sneak drugs. I couldn’t go without 30 minutes to an hour without cocaine and I'd bring it on airplanes,” Demi tells Access Hollywood. “I would smuggle it basically and just wait until everyone in first class went to sleep and I would just do it right there, or I’d sneak to the bathroom and I’d do it," she says, noting that even though she had her sober companion with her, she had gotten so manipulative that she could even hide it from that person.

In the interview, Demi also addresses her eating disorder, which began when she was only 8 or 9 years old. However, Dianna, Demi's mom, reveals that it was her own eating disorder that sparked her daughter's unhealthy relationship with body image.

"The issue I had was definitely a mental health issue, and I also had to get help for my struggles as well as she did, and then once I did, we became closer as mother and daughter [and] we also became well as a family," Dianna shares.

The 21-year-old 'X Factor' judge, who recently penned her memoir, 'Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year,' is courageously speaking out and telling her story in the hope that she will make a difference in the lives of people who struggle with similar issues as she did.
