Courtney Yeager, Public Relations & Fundraising Manager at Crisis & Counseling Centers, joined us on the Moose Morning Show to talk about this Friday's (March 18) 'A Dessert Affair: Making Life a Little Sweeter.'

The premier dessert, chocolate and wine festival will be held at the Governor Hill Mansion in Augusta from 5pm to 8pm. The event is open to all ages, with proceeds providing access to mental health care for people who cannot afford services.

The evening will also include dessert tasting from a variety of Maine restaurants, chocolatiers, and caterers. Plus a cash wine and beer bar and an upscale Silent Auction. You can enjoy live music from the String Beings.

Businesses will try to earn the public's vote for 'Best Dessert' to win the coveted 'People’s Choice Award.' Desserts will also be judged by a panel of professionals including our very own, Renee Nelson.

Ticket prices range from $8 to $25, if purchased in advance.
