OK--this Christmas everything old seems new again. "Star Wars" is the hottest thing out there, with "The Rise of Skywalker", about to dominate the box office.

But that's not the first time the Star Wars universe and the Christmas season have collided. In fact, way back in 1980, a then unknown Jon Bon Jovi (then know by his birth name of John Bongiovi) recorded the classic "R2-D2-We Wish You A Merry Christmas."

Jon got the gig through hard work and dedication....not! Actually, the album "Christmas in the Stars: The Star Wars Christmas Album" was being recorded in the recording studio ran by Jon's cousin Tony Bongiovi, and Jon, who was sweeping the floors of the studio at the time, got the gig to wish R2 a Merry Christmas.

Here it is, in all its glory!

And while we're at it, here's a Christmas song for Chewie-"What Do You Get A Wookie For Christmas (When He Already Owns A Comb?)

And finally, any discussion of Star Wars and Christmas has to include 1978s "The Star Wars Holiday Special." This is famously so bad, that it has never been officially released after its one and only airing. But thanks to YouTube, you can check it out for yourself!

And while the Holiday Special is (thankfully) not available, here are some other Star Wars-related items that can help you have a Merry Christmas!
