Do You Care If the NHL Season Is Canceled? — Sports Survey of the Day
It looks like we have another sport involved in another lockout on our hands. This time it's the NHL that is in talks about a new agreement between ownership and players. Hockey has a healthy history of work stoppages, including one that cost the entire 2004-2005 season. Many fans didn't come back after that labor dispute, which was the longest in a string of them.
The NHL went on strike in 1992 and it was locked out in 1994-1995, resulting in the cancelation of 30 games. Have fans had enough of this?
It doesn't seem like much is in the works to get things moving either. ESPN reports that there is no new Collective Bargaining Agreement talks this week. So, another season may be in jeopardy, but does anyone care?
